Apple's iOS 9.3 is now available for download: Here's whats new

Apple released the all new iOS 9.3 and it comes with many enhancements and multiple bug fixes. The update is free and is available for all iPhones and iPads currently running a version of iOS 9, including the iPhone 4S, iPad 2 and iPad mini or newer. The new version includes updates such as Night Shift, Apple CarPlay updates, along with ability to secure apps such as Notes, with a fingerprint scanner and a lot more.

The biggest change to iOS is the introduction of Night Shift, a mode which will reduce the light emitted by the screen. The new feature monitors the time and location of the device and accordingly changes the color of the display depending on the time of day, making it either more yellow, or easy on the eyes. In addition, Apple is also adding the ability to lock in your Notes with a fingerprint or with a password.

With the new update, one can also add multiple users to one device. iOS 9.3 also updates the Health dashboard which will offer more relevant information regarding weight, workouts and sleep. Apple is also tweaking  some of the music playback options for Apple CarPlay. CarPlay will now begin suggesting songs, artists, and albums based on a user’s preferences. Apple Maps will also show point of interests such as restaurants, coffee shops and more as well.

New features aside, Apple also squished plenty of bugs including, the much-talked about 1970 bug that would render iDevices useless when the date was manually changed to anything close to it. Another better known issue that iOS 9.3 fixes is the inaccurate battery percentage problem that used to show a figure a lot higher than what it really was.

All in all iOS 9.3 is a massive bug fixing update that brings in some new features while improving the ones that already exist.
