While Apple has released patches to fix the iOS 9.3 activation bug, some iOS users have started complaining about a new problem primarily affecting iPhone 6s and iPhone 6s Plus users. There are reports of some older devices also being affected.

According to 9To5Mac, a new bug in iOS 9.3 (and reportedly on some older versions) is affecting iPhones and users are unable to open links in Safari, Messages, Mail, Notes and other apps. When opening links, instead of rerouting to the website, the app either crashes or freezes, the report adds. Numerous users have started reporting the bug on Apple Support Forums. “Some people have reported that disabling JavaScript partially solves the issue for opening links in Safari, but the problem persists in other apps,” the report adds.

However, Apple hasn’t released an official statement yet.

Last week, a bug in Apple’s iOS 9.3 update made older model iPads and iPhones bricked the devices if the AppleID and password were entered incorrectly. The company soon released a patched version of iOS 9.3 and affected devices needed to upgrade via iTunes. Those with older devices who’ve held off on the upgrade to 9.3 till now could do so via an over-the-air upgrade.

iOS 9.3 brings in a whole slew of upgrades to iDevices, the most notable feature being Night Shift, which reduces the amount of blue light in the backlight of the screen in an attempt to aid sleep. Other updates include vastly improved News and Health apps, along with tweaks to performance on older devices.
