As part of Lagos State Government’s efforts at improving health care delivery, the School of Nursing, Igando formerly situated at Awolowo Road, Ikoyi has granted admission to 30 successful candidates for the year 2016 Nursing Programme.
The School Coordinator, Mrs Oyefunso Orenuga, stated that the 30 successful candidates were drawn from a list of 119 candidates who sat for the entrance examinations to study a three year Basic Nursing Programme (BNP).
Mrs. Orenuga also said that, “the candidates who successfully complete the BNP or Basic Midwifery Programme (BMP) as well as pass the Nursing and Midwifery Council of Nigeria (N&MCN) qualifying examinations would obtain a diploma licencing them to practice as registered nurses and midwives.”
The Schools of Nursing and Midwifery are accredited by the Nursing and Midwifery Council of Nigeria to offer the Basic Nursing Programme (BNP) and Basic Midwifery Programme (BMP) respectively.
